"MODELS AGAINST EBOLA" Photo Shoot
Models Against Ebola is an online charity initiative that will help raise money to send medical supplies to Africa in an effort to help fight Ebola. The initiative will benefit Lighthouse Medical Missions : a 501c3 non profit organization that sends Doctors and Nurses to Africa to offer free medical treatment and medical supplies to the poorest countries in the world. This year due to the Ebola epidemic Lighthouse Medical Missions is unable to send Doctors and Nurses into the infected zones however the organization is preparing to send a shipping container full of medical supplies to Africa with desperately needed drugs and treatment supplies to fight the Ebola virus.
Models Against Ebola is working with models, photographers, makeup and hair artists within the modeling community that are willing to donate their time to create a photo series of artistic and creative images to raise awareness for the need in Africa. It is our hope that through this creative process and with the help of the modeling community, we can raise the $60,000 needed to fill the container with medical supplies. The photos will be featured on the Lighthouse Medical Missions fundraising page where people can vote with their donations which photo they like and support this important cause. In addition, we hope that other models and photographers will join in the Models Against Ebola campaign and submit their own works to create even more awareness through their friends and families.
The goal of the photo shoots is to involve as many people possible through social media to help spread the word and help raise money to end the Ebola epidemic in Africa.
